The Role
We are looking for a Senior Digital Analyst with experience in GTM and GA4, as well as working with raw GA4 data, to join our data team. You will work with the UK’s largest hospitality operator to help transform our data by building unified datasets using best-in-class engineering processes.
Your official title will be Senior Data Engineer, as you will be involved in building the CDP on our data warehouse. This is a lifetime opportunity for experienced digital analysts who want to extend their skillset with data engineering and data science skills.
You will be working with senior data engineers and data scientists on an exciting loyalty project. You will play a pivotal role in developing datasets to support our data monetisation and loyalty strategy for our revolutionary consumer-facing loyalty app (MiXR).
Initial scope of role:
1. You will focus on the project that connects our loyalty app ecosystem with POS data and data from the Digital Media Screen management platform to create powerful datasets for further monetisation and deep analysis of media effectiveness.
2. Work with other members of the data team to ingest GA4 data and build clean datasets that will allow us to transform behavioural app data into insights
3. Work with stakeholders across the business to understand their requirements around data provisioning
4. Work with the documentation and external teams to understand the structure of the data sources and the best way to connect to them
5. Implement data ingestion and data transformation following the DevOps spirit
6. Build automated data quality tests
Key Skills and Character
7. Demonstrates a passion for and deep knowledge of advanced data analytics
8. Operationally proficient with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver clear results
9. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across organisational boundaries, embrace change, and work in matrix management arrangements
10. Strong negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
11. Self-reliant, resilient and proactive
12. An evident passion for the hospitality industry is essential
13. Experience working with consumer data and/or digital media data is preferable but not essential
Technical skills you must have
14. Solid GTM experience
15. Solid experience working with GA4 raw data, including extraction to CDP or Data Warehouse
16. Decent SQL skills
17. Python experience (nice to have)
Tools you will be using
18. Python for data ingestion and complex data transformation
19. DBT for data transformation and documentation
20. GitHub
21. Snowflake – our data warehouse
22. GCP as much as necessary to extract data to Snowflake
