Making your impact
* Managing the shift team in day-to-day activities.
* Leading from the front and managing customer expectations.
* Maintaining, repairing and supporting the equipment detailed within the agreed Dematic scope of contract on the Customers site.
* Ensuring delivery to both Dematic and the Customer’s expectations with the aim of achieving KPI targets at all times.
* Undertaking AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with the quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals.
* Undertaking scheduled repairs in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
* Diagnosing Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs.
* Prioritising system faults.
* Compliance with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
* Ensuring quality of output at all times.
* Accurately recording all work undertaken.
* Involvement in continuous improvement and enhancement opportunities.
* Maintaining product flow at all times.
* Ensuring on-site spares are kept to optimum levels.
* Representing the company in a professional manner at all times and maintaining customer relations.
* Adhering to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.
* Fully interacting with the customer in day to day activities.
* Embracing and ensuring delivery of key staff processes:
o Team and individual attendance.
o Staff discipline.
o Staff development identified through Staff Dialogue (appraisal).
* Monitoring and steering third party support contracts to ensure delivery of key service KPI’s.
* Fully interacting with other engineering team leaders to ensure consistency across shifts and best practice is shared.
* Being a point of escalation and control during breakdown situations.
Contributing to the team
* ONC in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
* IOSH working safely (desirable).
* Experience in previously managing a team (desirable).
* Foundation qualifications in people management (desirable).
* Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
* A working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
* Basic understanding of control systems and problem solving techniques.
* Basic understanding of PLC equipment.
* Working at height experience and willingness.
* Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems.
* Good level of PC literacy.
* Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
* Working knowledge of FEM and BS standards governing the automated warehouse industry.
* Having a continuous improvement mentality.
