An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Gypsy Traveller Team based Fife wide, on a part time basis, 18 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday) with a salary grade of £38,950.71 to £42,686.23.
The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Supervision of the Gypsy Traveller Site Managers
2. Overseeing and contributing to the revision and development of related processes and procedures
3. Improving outcomes for tenants which meet and respect cultural needs
4. Liaising with partner services/agencies to improve on-site services
5. Representing Fife Council on a national basis, contributing to and sharing best practice with other local authorities
6. Linking closely with the Project Team delivering on site improvements

The Person
To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate that you meet the essential educational and wider criteria of the attached Role Profile, and it would be desirable if you could also show the following:
7. An understanding of the barriers faced by the Gypsy Traveller community
8. An awareness of the Scottish Government and COSLA joint Action Plan on improving the lives of Gypsy/Travellers
9. An ability to support change and innovation as part of service development and improvement
10. Educated to SCQF level 8 which includes HND or SVQ level 4 or equivalent in Housing or relevant recognised professional qualification
11. Considerable experience of Housing Services
12. Knowledge of standards across functional areas
13. Performance management experience and supervisory skills
14. Evidence of effectively managing change
15. Experience of managing conflict and distress
16. Experience of current Housing related legislation
17. Ability to travel within Fife
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
