Lead QA Test Engineer / Manager Sunderland / WFH to £70k

Responsibilities:
1. Manage the QA team (currently two), providing coaching, mentoring, technical leadership, and guidance.
2. Collaborate with software development teams to align QA strategies and development processes, ensuring comprehensive testing of all software products including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
3. Liaise with senior stakeholders to report on QA metrics and KPIs, identify potential quality risks, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Choose the tooling and drive the use of test automation.
Location / WFH:
You'll join colleagues in the Sunderland office three days a week, where you'll join fellow technologists in a relaxed environment in awesome custom-built offices with a range of facilities and perks including free meals at the onsite restaurant as well as membership at onsite gym; there's flexibility to work from home two days a week.
About you:
1. Strong knowledge of test management tools and test automation frameworks, able to recommend and choose the right tool for the job.
2. Hands-on experience with test automation as well as management.
3. Good understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
4. Experience of testing in a tech stack based on C# and Java.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Skilled communicator, with experience of coaching and mentoring others, collaborating with software development teams, and reporting progress to senior stakeholders.
