As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the Executive Director of Finance will lead Everyturn's financial strategy and operations, contributing to the collective decision-making of the Executive Team. This role ensures robust financial governance, alignment with the charity's strategic goals, and oversight of both internal and external audit programs. The opportunity: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, financial planning, and reporting. Act as the principal financial advisor to the Board of Trustees, CEO, and Executive Team, providing expert guidance on financial risks, opportunities, and resource allocation. Deliver high-quality, timely financial information to inform strategic and operational decisions. Define, implement, and monitor robust policies, systems, and processes for financial control and compliance. Develop and lead the financial and operational business plan to ensure the charity’s financial sustainability. Ensure that financial strategies align with and support organisational objectives. Evaluate and present business cases for future investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with Everyturn’s goals. You’ll maintain the confidentiality of information about clients, staff and organisational business in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Caldicott principles. Contribute to the promotion of staff wellbeing within the organisation. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures. You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have: A qualification in accounting with evidence of ongoing professional development. Senior-level experience in financial leadership, including reporting to boards or executive teams. Proven ability to develop and deliver financial strategies in complex environments. Experience leading audits and implementing financial governance frameworks. Strong commercial acumen with a focus on operational efficiency and strategic resource management.
