Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a Trainee Maintenance Manager to provide support by delivering aspects of process maintenance to help compliant, optimised, cost-effective lifecycle assurance at our site. You will deliver improved asset reliability and outstanding resource utilisation through planning and execution of maintenance tasks.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Standards.
2. Comply with maintenance regulatory standards within the designated area.
3. Commit to personal growth to benefit self, team, and Diageo.
4. Follow a time-bound development plan with clear milestones and measurable goals.
5. Adhere to Safe Systems of Work for maintenance teams and ensure technicians are competent.
6. Collaborate with Site Managers, Operators, Maintenance Leads, and Craft groups to plan maintenance effectively into the production schedule.
7. Drive plant uptime and cost competitiveness through focused improvements.
8. Work with operations and asset care support teams to identify underperforming areas.
9. Participate in and support strategic initiatives for future business requirements, including Capital investment decisions.
10. Support Site Operations in improving reliability and ensure appropriate capital investments through the Early Equipment Management (EEM) framework.
11. Manage critical spares holding to enhance asset availability.
12. Ensure effective weekly integrated maintenance planning meetings.
13. Facilitate regular reliability reviews with site teams to support asset reliability improvements.
14. Drive improvement initiatives in line with Manufacturing Excellence asset care practices.
15. Actively manage engineering backlog through resource prioritisation.
16. Provide front-line engineering support and functional expertise to the operations team.
17. Develop skills in root cause problem-solving to resolve machine-based issues expediently.
18. Develop people leadership skills, including coaching and supporting direct reports.
19. Understand regulatory critical plant testing and ensure follow-up tasks are managed in SAP.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
20. Degree or HNC level qualification in engineering and/or equivalent experience.
21. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate across all levels.
22. Ability to organise various tasks and prioritise self and others accordingly.
23. Knowledge of Reliability Maintenance techniques, data analysis, and applications (Excel, Word, etc.), including business systems like SAP.
24. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to lead and drive improvements.
25. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
26. Knowledge of Distilling/Malting processes is advantageous but not essential.
