Ganymede Solutions are working with a large, innovative UK Train Operating Company who are seeking to recruit a temporary Customer Service Assistant to join assist the station staff at Doncaster Station. Ganymede Solutions are a stock market recognised recruitment agency, specialising in the transportation, infrastructure, construction and engineering sectors on both permanent and contract basis’.
The company covers the East Midlands, Northwest of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Staffordshire. They operate at over 140 stations and have a large fleet of 277 trains.
This temporary role represents a fantastic opportunity to take the first step into a career on the railway.
The Role:
The role itself will be station based. You will be working at Doncaster Station and your job purpose will be to provide customer assistance to all customers. Now this can consist of things such as:
- Helping passengers embark and disembark the train with a ramp
- Directing people around the station
- Answering questions about train times and journeys
- Keeping the station looking presentable for public use
- Liaising with other station staff, asking them what needs to be done – offering a hand when needed
For this role, the start date will be the 21st of December and the last day will be the 29th December. You will NOT work on Xmas day or Boxing day. You will be working 8 hour shifts each day, with the earliest possible start/finish being 8am – 4pm, and the latest possible start/finish being 12pm – 8pm

Requirements:
• Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test – cannot have consumed any recreational or non-prescribed drugs within the last 6 months
• Happy to help mentality/attitude
