Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter seeking a new challenge in a fast-paced environment? Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects in a modern, open-plan facility where no two days are the same.
Job Purpose:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for surveying, dismantling, and assembling mechanical equipment. You will work on a variety of assemblies, from component level to complete systems, ensuring all equipment is manufactured to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Survey, build, and manufacture items from component to assembly level.
Work closely with the MRO Manager and receive work instructions.
Record survey results and log working hours in the company ERP system.
Assist in training and supporting other personnel within the MRO and Fitting teams.
Ensure all work is performed to meet deadlines without compromising on Health & Safety or quality standards. Skills and Qualifications:
Completed a recognized apprenticeship as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder, or Assembly Technician.
Minimum NVQ / City & Guilds level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline.
Strong bench fitting skills, with experience using hand and electric tools.
