About the Role
As an Activities Assistant at Barchester care homes, you'll play a vital role in delivering engaging, varied activities to ensure our residents can enjoy a fulfilling life. We want to make sure each individual can pursue their interests, and that means you'll have a real impact on our residents' lives. Your role will involve helping us to deliver an entertainment and activities programme that covers a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings, and events. This will help every resident to live as independently as possible and enhance their involvement with their family, friends, and the local community.
About You
While experience is not necessary, you'll need to have a sense of fun, creativity, and the ability to encourage and motivate others. A real interest in the people we support is also essential. You'll be enthusiastic, empathetic, and someone who'll really enjoy helping our residents to live their lives to the full. We'll provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills further with a range of courses designed to build your confidence in every aspect of your role.
