About the role:
As the Interim Culture Manager, you will lead the teams managing some of Exeter's most cherished cultural assets, including the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter Corn Exchange, the Historic Guildhall, the Custom House, and the Underground Passages.
Working closely with the Head of Service for Culture and Leisure, you will redesign and implement an efficient, customer-focused Culture service. You will oversee staff management, foster external partnerships, and ensure the Culture service remains at the heart of Exeter’s community. Your role will be pivotal in aligning the service with the Council's broader goals, driving process improvements, and ensuring value for money in all service areas.
Additionally, you will manage financial budgets and oversee the performance and development of your team.
This is a fixed-term role due to end on 02/05/2025.

You will be working with an enthusiastic and dedicated team that includes the RAMM Management team, Corn Exchange Manager, Visitor Facilities Manager, Guildhall Manager, and the Arts & Events Lead. Together, the team ensures the smooth operation of Exeter's cultural facilities, each of which plays a key role in the city's community life and heritage. Your leadership will be vital in driving team success and fostering an environment where creativity and collaboration thrive.
