⭐Derbyshire County Council are hiring!⭐
Derbyshire County Council are looking for Senior Enablement Support Workers to maintain the independence and dignity of adults living in the community, through supporting staff at a local level to provide a high-quality service and being the first point of engagement with clients.
We’re all about reablement that really matters - encouraging people to achieve their best in their own homes and communities. Do you like working alongside people so they discover their own strengths? Can you set people up for living as independently as they can?
This is a great time to join us because we are developing a new programme that wraps time-limited support around people at home. We’re looking for colleagues who can contribute their skills and expertise to multi-disciplined professional teams across Derbyshire (or in locality). We need team members who can support us to adopt new ways of working and make sure that collaboration around those we are working with is at the heart of everything we do.
We’re keen to hear from you if you:
1. Enjoy a challenge
2. Understand what it means to treat people with dignity and respect
3. Can place a person at the centre of their care
4. Can be creative and are forward thinking
The post holder will be required to work on a rota system, which will include days, unsocial hours, weekends, nights, and bank holidays. There may be a requirement, on occasion, to work flexibly to attend mandatory training, meetings or cover unplanned absences.
Working in care can be challenging at times, but extremely rewarding, and as an employee of Derbyshire County Council, you will receive a competitive benefits package including:
5. 25 days of annual leave plus another 5 once you reach 5 years of continuous service (pro rata for part time)
6. Generous local government pension scheme
7. Guaranteed incremental annual pay increases
