The role
will sit in our Deals Sales and Marketing team, a team that supports priority “must win” opportunities across the sectors. These are complex high-profile, strategic opportunities often involving alliances, multiple lines of service and multi-stage procurements.
Your responsibilities
In this role, the successful candidate will:
1. Model Pursuit best practice in everything you do, bringing energy, impact and strategic sales advice.
2. Provide coaching for early client conversations, presentations and negotiations.
3. Facilitate kick off, storyboarding and win themes sessions and provide independent review and challenge of win themes, proposals and other bid materials.
4. Make recommendations on relevant propositions and collateral to share with clients.
5. Carry out internal pitch team debriefs and conduct post-pitch feedback with the client.
6. Bring the best of PwC by connecting teams with relevant people and departments.
7. Train, inspire and upskill the practice so that they are better equipped to win work.
8. Work closely with other sales experts, to form a seamless value chain for our clients and stakeholders.
9. Be an active member of the Pursuits & Proposals capability and the wider Sales and Marketing function.
Skills and experience required
10. Proven track record in a similar Pursuit/Proposals coaching role, with an expert understanding of sales best practice and a client focused outlook.
11. Excellent influencing, strong communication and facilitation skills in order to be credible and be able to challenge management and senior stakeholders.
12. Ability to work at pace, to be proactive with a positive can-do approach.
13. Commercially minded and risk aware.
14. Ability to demonstrate client-centric views.
15. Understanding of the professional services market, as well as the broader economic outlook.
16. Self-starter able to work effectively as a member of a team.
17. The ability to form networks with partners and staff at all levels.
18. Emotional intelligence and an ability to flex style to the situation.

This role sits within the Sales capability, part of Sales & Marketing, PwC’s centralised support function, and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development.
