Here's what you'll be doing
nPower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON UK Industrial and Commercial (I&C) pillar and a market leader in the B2B energy retail sector. I&C is a £6 billion revenue business serving c60,000 customers and around 300,000 meter points with a view to becoming the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Generation Services Sales Manager to join our team. For this role, you will be responsible for prospecting all Generation Services new business, to deliver EBIT to I&C through the execution of complex energy risk management deals with sophisticated Corporate & Strategic Market third parties and clients. The role holder will be required to develop beneficial third party and client relationships with generators. The role holder will build strong relationships both externally to I&C and internally across the company to maximise commercial opportunities and broaden the value base of the portfolio. This role is homebased, with nationwide travel required (car allowance provided).
Key responsibilities
1. Identify, create, and manage high level critical strategic stakeholder relationships across key partnerships to deliver new business and support relationships at Senior Management levels.
2. Prospect opportunities to grow the sector through the delivery of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROCs) and Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) to deliver challenging growth targets.
3. Ensure accuracy of all account data across the team to maintain sustainable supply and value add pipelines across the portfolio, including power supply, gas supply, Data and Metering Services (D&MS)
4. Create and manage team territory plans to deliver agreed business target in terms of revenue.
5. Utilise industry knowledge and expertise to develop a wide range of high-level external networks that will build and enhance I&C’s reputation, highlight capabilities, and generate opportunities that will grow value to the bottom line.
6. Deliver deals that are fully compliant and approvals process and minimise rework.
7. Ensure account managers are focused on delivery of the best customer experience through the customer on-boarding experience.
8. Liaise with key third party intermediaries to develop PPA, ROC and REGO opportunities.
What we need from you
9. To be currently working within the UK energy sector and have existing UK relationships with third party, embedded or independent generators.
10. Proven track record of negotiating and securing PPA, ROC and REGO contracts.
11. Strong understanding of the UK Energy Market and specifically skilled in development, negotiation, and execution and of complex products and contractual and financial and credit management tools, specifically in the Generation Services market space.
12. Strong commercial and technical competence with substantial experience gained in the energy industry.
13. Able to create and develop new value building propositions to broaden the base value delivered through key third parties.
14. Develop strategies for maximising market opportunities recognising the diverse and rapidly changing nature of the marketplace.
15. Ability to manage multi-dimensional risk and complex industry and market mechanisms and drive all associated complexities of new business development.
16. Full UK driving licence.
