You will be joining a main contractor working on water schemes across the Midlands region. Theirmitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader within the water sector and, due to continued success, they are looking to onboard an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Your new role
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in their Derby office and be responsible for, but not limited to, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring the prompt submission of invoices and/or applications of payment, assisting in the appointment/ongoing management of subcontractors, supporting the preparation of financial reports as well as supporting in the financial monitoring/reporting of contracts.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will ideally hold a degree qualification in Quantity Surveying and have an understanding of NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contract. In addition, you will be able to work to deadlines and possess excellentmunication skills. Finally, you will be able to work as part of a team and be able to time-manage.
