Job Title: Lead MEP Engineer
Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

Salary: £70k + Benefits (salary negotiable depending on experience)
Dewey Group are looking for a forward-thinking Lead MEP Engineer specialising in innovative and sustainable thermal energy solutions. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join a dynamic team and spearhead diverse projects across various sectors, on behalf of one of the UK's most reputable contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Lead a team of professional engineers, Revit technicians, and support staff.
2. Design Development: Develop and present high-quality project design proposals to the project team and clients.
3. Tender Preparation: Prepare tenders and estimates for Energy turn-key solutions, including piles, ground source boreholes, heat pumps, thermal loops, valves, manifolds, and related systems.
4. Client Representation: Act as the MEP project lead in meetings with clients and multidisciplinary design teams.
5. Technical Documentation: Prepare high-quality technical specifications, designs, drawings, and other project documentation.
6. Project Oversight: Oversee the delivery of a wide range of projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, and educational developments.
7. Business Growth: Identify opportunities for new services and company growth.
8. Reporting: Report resource and financial information to the Group Leader.
9. Staff Development: Monitor and manage the performance and progression of junior staff.
10. Quality Assurance: Ensure the production of high-quality information and maintain standards.
11. Client Relations: Develop and maintain client relationships, advancing new and repeat business.
Required Competencies:
1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
2. Membership with relevant industry bodies (CIBSE, IMechE, IET).
3. Proven ability to manage a team of engineers.
4. Proven experience in a similar consultancy role.
5. Experience in delivering commercial and healthcare projects.
6. Familiarity with key Building Regulations and CIBSE Guides.
7. Extensive experience in delivering residential and mixed-use projects with heat networks and low carbon technologies.
8. Experience in managing project resources and finances.
9. In-depth knowledge of heat pump technology, COPs, and integration with building heating/cooling systems.
10. Detailed knowledge of low carbon and sustainable design, including London Plan Energy Policy.
Performance Requirements/Objectives:
1. Maintain high standards of professionalism at all times.
2. Attend and chair group meetings as required.
3. Manage projects effectively to meet the satisfaction of clients and the Group Leader.
4. Provide daily support and advice to staff, addressing client-related issues and delivering professional services as needed.
5. Oversee performance and development reviews for team members.
6. Maintain comprehensive project records and information.
7. Ensure monthly progress reports and fee plans are completed, reporting achievements against targets to the Group Leader.
