A nursery in Reading are looking for a Toddler Room Leader to join their team.
OPTIONS FOR HOURS:
OPTION 1- Monday to Friday- 8am-6pm- 43.75 hours per week- eligible for an attendance bonus of
up to £90 each month where there was no sickness absence the month before.
OPTION 2- Monday to Friday- Shift pattern- 8am-5pm/830am-530pm or 9am-6pm- 38.75 hours per
week. Options can be discussed prior to commencement of employment.
Salary: up to £28,000 gpa
Must have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification- NNEB, B-TEC, NVQ 3 OR EQUIVALENT
Holiday: 29 days holiday including bank and public holidays
The nursery will provide all mandatory training including; Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Child
Protection, Fire Safety and Food Hygiene

• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of
children and expects all employees to share this commitment.
• To provide a warm and caring environment for children maintaining high standards
of childcare at all times
• To be an exemplary role model for other practitioners to promote high standards of
professional practice.
• To work with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to deliver the relevant
curriculum in line with current legislation.
• To work as a key person to a group of children to ensure individual needs are met,
tracking their development and alerting managers to any concerns you may have.
• To deliver a range of suitable experiences which will meet the needs of individual
children, including making adaptations for inclusive practice which also promotes
challenge where appropriate.
• To work in partnership with parents/carers, recognising them as the children's prime
educators.
• To ensure an effective induction takes place for new children and their families into
the nursery.
• To ensure high standards of hygiene and safety within the nursery environment,
reporting any significant issues to the relevant manager at the first opportunity.
• To lead the practitioners in your area of work.
• To be actively involved in the induction of new employees, to supervise and train
students and apprentices where necessary.
• To ensure written records are completed appropriately and stored in line with
GDPR regulations.
• To respect the privacy of others including, fellow employees, parents/carers and
children, keeping information confidential and storing in line with legal
requirements set out in the statutory framework and Data protection act.
