FP&A Accountant (4 months)
Salary: £41,000 to £50,099, dependent on experience + generous pension + 25 days holiday per annum
Location: Buttershaw, Bradford (hybrid working)

Who are we looking for?
Are you an experienced FP&A Accountant looking for a new challenge? Want to deliver an outstanding (efficient and effective) Financial Reporting service to the whole of the Kelda group? Then this role may be for you.
You will play an active part of the team concerned with providing a high-quality accounting and reporting service, ensuring financial control is maintained across the business, working closely with the Accounting and Control and Finance Business Partner (FBP) teams to ensure reporting is delivered on time and to a high standard. Working within specified units, you will ensure accurate reporting is maintained to meet all management, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and all deadlines are met.
What will you be doing in the role?
As our FP&A Accountant, you will provide a reporting service to our Finance BP’s, ensuring all presentation and analysis of financial information (actuals and forecasts) for specified units/companies are comprehensive and agreed prior to submission. Supporting and deputising for the Senior FP&A Accountant when required, you will also:
1. Support the broader Department in delivering the Department Business Plan and financial outperformance
2. Ensure all material budget variances are identified and explained and all financial forecasts are robust and challenged
3. Maintain and improve financial processes, documenting processes in a consistent format and level of detail, whilst ensuring compliance with and maintenance of financial controls
4. Be accountable (with line manager) for the consolidation of group entities across the Kelda Group in line with UK and IFRS GAAP as appropriate
5. Provide (with line manager support), the month end Company reporting, including analysis and commentaries to a high standard for Yorkshire Water and Kelda Holdings
6. Consolidate and present (with line manager) the planning and forecasting for the Group
7. Be accountable (with line manager) for reporting month and year end results to Shareholders and investors along with any ad hoc requests
8. Ensure accounting records are maintained to meet all management, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and all deadlines are met
9. Develop and maintain best practice processes associated with the points above
10. Manage and/or participate in ad hoc finance projects
11. Support the team in building organisation capability (people) through self-development and by creating opportunities for growth, development and learning
12. Consistently demonstrate company values, appropriate behaviours and standards, as defined within the Responsible Leader Framework
13. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policy and promote a safety conscious culture
14. Proactively identify and remove waste from processes and activities.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Essential:
A fully qualified Accountant, with broad business knowledge and previous experience of the planning and forecasting process. With a good understanding and demonstrable experience of month end reporting, including analysis and commentary, you will also have:
15. The ability to develop, maintain and leverage value from internal and external networks
16. Good communication skills, both oral and written, able to converse with key stakeholders at all levels of the business
17. The initiative and ability to work unsupervised, prioritising workload where required to meet tight deadlines regularly
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
19. Experience in the use of financial systems, preferably SAP
20. Good excel skills and knowledge.

21. Experience of regulated entities
22. Experience of consolidation processes.
