Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Boys PE to join our passionate PE department starting in September. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for physical education and a desire to inspire and motivate boys to lead healthy and active lifestyles both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons for boys across all key stages, focusing on a range of sports and physical activities.
2. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where boys feel supported, valued, and motivated to participate and succeed.
3. Develop and implement innovative teaching and learning strategies to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
4. Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and events to provide additional opportunities for boys to participate in physical activity and develop their skills.
5. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development and achievement in PE.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to promote a whole-school approach to health and wellbeing and contribute to the wider life of the school community.
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
8. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physical education, with a focus on boys' engagement and participation.
9. Experience teaching PE to secondary school students, preferably within a diverse and inclusive school environment.
10. Ability to inspire and motivate boys to participate in physical activity and develop their skills, confidence, and resilience.
11. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
12. Commitment to promoting the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play.
