* Acting as the globalcommunications lead for COO (Operations)
Developing internal communication and engagementstrategies to enhance the colleague experience and productivitywithin the COO
* Partnering the COOleadership through periods of change and transformation, developinga strong narrative and looking for opportunities for win wins whichhelp change to landwell
Driving BAE Systems’ reputation as an employer-ofchoice and instilling pride in our existing workforce throughproactive storytelling across our channels and markets Working with communications colleagues across BAESystems to ensure the wider business understands the role of theCOO team and the significance of their contribution in the contextof the UK’s overall combat air programmes, andinternationally
* Acting as a conduitinto the external communications teams to proactively generatecommunications from the COO which support the commercial andreputation objectives of the Air Sector
Working with the SLT to ensure the delivery ofcommunication plans and activities designed to enhance colleagueengagement and productivity across the AirSector
Your skills andexperiences:
* Proven InternalCommunicationsbackground
Ability to develop and articulate a clearcommunication strategy aligned with the organization’sgoals Competent at leading tactical projects anddelivering through various business and functionalteams Proven experience in leading, mentoring, anddeveloping a communications team, ensuring collaboration and highperformance Exceptional writing skills to produce clear,concise, and error-free content for differentchannels Having confidence and ability to effectivelycommunicate in front of diverse audiences, including employees andsenior level stakeholders English qualifications –GCSE Ideally a degree (marketing, communications etc)

The Communications team: Working within the COO (Chief Operating Office)gives you the opportunity to work at the centre of the business,collaborating with enthusiastic stakeholders that are supportiveand driven. The Head of Communications, who reports to theDirector of Air Sector Internal Communications, is in charge oforganizing and carrying out communications to assist the COO and tosafeguard and improve the Company’s Air Sector’s reputation amongall of its stakeholders, especially coworkers. In addition toclosely collaborating with the External Communications Team tosupport and coordinate external communications and marketinginitiatives, you will oversee the COO’s internal communicationstrategy.
