As a Process Engineer, you will become an integral part of the engineering team. You will work closely with manufacturing departments and technical staff to support the production of precision components.
Your responsibilities as a Process Engineer:
* Produce high-quality 2D engineering drawings and 3D models based on agreed design philosophies.
* Understand customer requirements by studying drawings and discussing them with technical staff.
* Collaborate with manufacturing departments to ensure they can meet specified tolerances and accuracies.
* Propose cost-effective solutions to minimise production costs without compromising quality.
* Design new tooling and fixtures when necessary, understanding work-holding principles.
* Efficiently issue, store, and archive designs, calculations, and drawings for easy retrieval.
Your current experience which will help you as a Process Engineer:
* Qualified to HNC/HND/Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or have relevant experience.
* Proficient in using AutoCAD for producing detailed engineering drawings.
* In-depth understanding of design for manufacture and manufacturing processes.
* Experience in the automotive, power transmission, gear, or calibration industries (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce drawings to consistent standards.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.

* £35k - £40k salary, dependent on experience.
