ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Project Co-ordinator in the Programme Delivery and Change Team within Digital Technology and Transformation (DTT), you will work as part of a small project team in supporting and managing the delivery of identified major strategic Estates Projects.
There are a number a major strategic Estates projects currently being delivered by the DTT team across the Estates Portfolio, in accordance with agreed governance arrangements. These are led by a University Executive Sponsor and supported by wider key University stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting and managing a variety of these projects, supporting the Project Manager. Your responsibilities will include management and monitoring of an agreed scope, budget and plan through coordination and reporting, using key project management techniques.
You will report directly to the DTT Project Manager and work collaboratively with the Estates team, services and both technical and business stakeholders across the University, as well as external suppliers and third parties. You will also be required to work closely with the University Executive Sponsors (of the identified projects).
ABOUT THE ROLE

There are a number a major strategic projects currently in flight across the Estates Portfolio and you will be required to lead and support the delivery of project workstreams within, providing and maintaining project reporting, key project documentation, governance and assurance to ensure that milestones and deliverables are achieved to plan.
You will report directly to the DTT Project Manager providing day-to-day support as required and work collaboratively with the Estates team, services and both technical and business stakeholders across the University, as well as external suppliers and third parties. ABOUT THE TEAM
A vacancy has become available for a Project Co-ordinator as part of the DTT Programme Delivery and Change Team which is led by the Director of Programme Delivery and Change. This team leads on the delivery of agreed strategic Estates Projects across the Estates Portfolio, aligned to the University Strategy.
The role of the DTT team is to ensure that these projects are managed and delivered effectively through their project lifecycle and meet the governance requirements aligned to the University Strategy.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will support the DTT Project Managers in managing the successful delivery of strategic Estates Projects across the Estates Portfolio.
You will be required to assist in ensuring that these projects are managed in line with the agreed DTT Project Governance process; this will involve delivering regular reporting to provide progress to agreed delivery programmes, highlighting risks and issues to the project stakeholders and University Sponsors.
You will support the Project Manager in the delivery of the strategic projects through:
1. Programme management and monitoring, highlighting delays and risks as and where necessary
2. Management of the finances associated with the project in conjunction with the financial lead
3. Management of risks, ensuring they are recorded and mitigated within the project risk log
4. Communication with the project team and stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and managed throughout the project life cycle
5. Undertaking procurement in accordance with regulations to secure resource and requirements; and the management of these third parties
You will have a good understanding and knowledge of project management and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a project delivery environment. Experience of working in the Higher Education sector would also be an advantage.
