DESCRIPTION
We are looking for multiple experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our Manufacturing facility in Darlington. This is a permanent contract involving shift work.
Salary circa £45,700 plus shift allowance, paid overtime and excellent company benefits.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining, and making improvements to mechanical and electrical systems.
2. Work with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery, and specialty equipment.
3. Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
4. Perform work in accordance with schematic diagrams, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.
5. Schedule maintenance activities around production requirements.
6. Participates actively with local Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
7. Must be able to fault find on complex electrical and mechanical systems and interpret Schematic drawings.
8. Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems is required.
9. Knowledge of Machine safety systems, LOTO procedures and safe work practices is paramount.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
10. Must be an experienced time served Maintenance Technician supported by NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
11. ONC/HNC qualified in a relevant discipline, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic.
12. Experience with Siemens PLCs would be advantageous with the ability to fault find and execute program modifications.
13. Robot Experience would be advantageous.
