Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic planning policies and initiatives.
2. Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations in line with relevant legislation and best practices.
3. Conducting site searches, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform planning decisions.
4. Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to foster positive relationships.
5. Providing expert advice on planning matters to clients and external stakeholders.
6. Keeping up to date with legislative changes, trends, and best practices in urban planning.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a Planning role (local government, consultancy, or development industry preferred).
2. A relevant Planning qualification (or working towards one).
3. RTPI membership or working towards it.
4. Strong understanding of the planning process and systems.
5. Excellent writing and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
6. Ability to prioritize workloads and manage time efficiently.
7. Enthusiastic, driven, and a collaborative team player.
