The Robot Programmer will be responsible for completing the setup and installation of robots from a single robot to multiple robot cells. Successful candidates will possess programming capability, as well as have demonstrated experience with good troubleshooting and startup support. Promoting good communication within the robotic department as well as other departments to ensure a quality product is essential. Program robot paths, set up program structure and implement offline programming
Provide robotic support and training as required
Work on Robot drawings and configurations
Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications
Work closely with Robotic Supervisor regarding projects, monitoring workload and deadlines
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial robotic systems.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to understand and define programming requirements.
Develop robot programs using native programming languages.
Test and validate robot programs to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Identify and resolve programming issues, including debugging and optimization.
Document programming processes, procedures, and changes for reference and training purposes.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in robot programming
Qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Manufacturing /Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
Minimum 3 years’ experience in programming robots
Hands-on experience programming robots ABB / Kuka / Fanuc
Good understanding of IO, transfer of information between Robot and PLC, and PLC functionality
Good understanding of robot program flow and basic programming theories
Experience in robotic spot welding, mig welding, material handling is required
Practical experience and good understanding of electrical circuitry and wiring
Sound mechanical ability to work on robot dress packages and peripheral equipment
Computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Autocad
More than 5 years’ experience in programming robots
Previous Automotive T1 experience
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python.
Familiarity with PLC programming and automation technologies.
Experience using robotic manufacturers native software; Experience with laser welding, roller hemming, dispense applications
Work collaboratively to achieve project/company goals
Flexibility to travel within Europe and beyond
Effective communicator both written and verbal in English
Full Health and Safety training and PPE provided for all conditions.
