We're looking for a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing team in Redhill, Surrey.
We're a small M&E company who are expanding at pace and we're looking for someone who thrives in a varied role where no two days are the same! We work mainly with schools; therefore, an Enhanced DBS check is required as well as a professional attitude, great customer service skills, and the ability to build great working relationships and rapport with Site Managers.
Our Commercial Gas Engineers work Monday to Friday with ad hoc overtime available evenings and weekends. They visit clients on a call-out basis for fault finding, diagnostic, and emergency repairs as well as providing regular servicing, inspections, and maintenance of equipment for clients such as schools, churches, and offices. They will install and carry out site works associated with the installation of boiler rooms and other gas appliances, and occasionally provide clients with guidance on the operation and management of equipment, replacements, or upgrades.
We are looking for candidates who are reliable and proactive, with excellent organisational and time-management skills who can work effectively individually as well as when part of a team. You will have outstanding customer service skills and come across as helpful, professional, and friendly, communicating effectively with a wide range of people.
This role requires a qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer; therefore, the following are also essential:
* Significant experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer or equivalent
* Full driving license
* Gas safe registered
* Required qualifications - CCN1, CENWAT, CKN1, HTR1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1
Oftec would also be advantageous, but not essential, as well as a basic knowledge of wiring.
This is a physical role which requires manual handling and medium to heavy physical effort for sustained periods of time. Equipment, appliances, and tools required may be heavy and you may need to use machinery and stand or walk for long periods carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment and tools. Full training will be provided.
