We are looking for a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join the Financial Accounts Team, primarily to provide the Capital and Charitable Funds finance functions for the Trust, ensuring that high quality financial information is provided in an efficient and effective manner.
We are a small team that undertake various roles and work together to meet the demands and objectives of the Finance Department as a whole.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have strong technical skills in order to ensure accurate and timely reporting. You should have experience of working in a busy finance office environment.
You will need to possess excellent communication and organisational skills and a real commitment to excellent service delivery. You must be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy, be able to prioritise workloads and be able to work on your own initiative as well as under supervision. An enthusiastic and energetic approach to work along with an acceptance of work flexibility and continuously changing working practices is essential.

* CCAB (Professional Accountancy qualification) - studying or have a considerable number of years' experience in a Financial Accounting or Financial Management role

* CCAB passed finalist

* Previous experience of working in a finance office environment with specialist knowledge and expertise across the varied aspects of the accounting function combined with sound theoretical knowledge
* Awareness and understanding of the Foundation Trust's current Standing Financial Instructions
* Ability to convey financial information to finance and non-finance professionals
* Practical experience of using and setting up complex spreadsheets and graphical facilities
* Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise work of self and others
Desirable
* Previous experience of NHS Charitable Funds
* Previous experience of NHS Capital & Asset Accounting
* Knowledge/experience of financial accounting and cash flow forecasting and management.
* Experience of working with a computerised ledger and other financial systems
