The role
As a CNC Machinist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be working in a small but highly effective team where the highest of standards will be expected, to deliver bespoke solutions to our military customers.
Day to day, you’ll be working on medium to large-scale pieces for weapons handling systems for submarines.
1. CNC Milling using Heidenham and Hurco
2. Working to drawings.
3. Tool setting
This is a shift role, 36 hours per week. Early shift 6.15am – 2.15pm Monday – Thursday, and 6.15am – 12.15pm Friday. Late shift 2pm – 9pm Monday – Thursday, and 12pm – 8pm Friday. There is a shift allowance of time and a third for this. There is also an option to work the late shift for time and a half if you like. We also offer agile working, so you can accrue time off by working extra hours.
Essential experience of the CNC Machinist
4. Knowledge of CNC control systems; Ideally Heidenham, and Hurco would be advantageous.
5. Experience tool setting.
6. Ability to work from drawings.
Qualifications for the CNC Machinist
7. Ideally a time-served apprentice.
