JOBPURPOSE
Independently perform two-thirds of the mostcommon laboratory tests on mineral oil and petrochemical fluids according topredefined procedures and methods. Additionally, provide training to lessexperienced personnel and document test results in accordance with prescribedprotocols.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):
Laboratory Safety and Compliance:
1. Conduct all activities in accordance with the Laboratory and Safety Manual, Core Laboratories Safety and Environmental Manual, local standards/safety rules, and other Core Laboratories/Saybolt company policies.
2. Attendrequired training and pass examinations in petroleum, chemical, and gasanalysis, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials handling anddisposal, and other safety/compliance training as mandated by applicableregulations.
Technical Proficiency:
3. Understand and apply analysis and technical standards according to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), UOP (Universal Oil Products), IP (Energy Institute), GOST, and other well-defined analytical standards and procedures used in the laboratory.
4. Set up, adjust, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with applicable standards and laboratory practice.
5. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and ensure a safe working environment.
Laboratory Testing:
6. Perform two-thirds of the most common laboratory tests on mineral oil and petrochemical fluids following applicable standards and laboratory practices.
7. Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
8. Determine chemical or physical characteristics as designated by client specifications or internal protocols.
Documentation and Reporting:
9. Document test results accurately and in accordance with prescribed protocols.
Training and Mentorship:
10. Provide training to less experienced laboratory personnel to ensure competency and adherence to laboratory standards.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
11. Depending on location, the employee may berequired to work irregular hours/shifts, including nights, weekends, andholidays.
EDUCATION:
12. Minimum (technical) high school / secondary education or equivalent.
13. Minimum 6-12 months of experience as Laboratory Technician or related experience.
14. Ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations.
15. Valid driving license and satisfactory driving record.
KNOWLEDGE:
16. Good knowledge of all Microsoft packages.

24. Limited exposure to working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.
25. Limited exposure to noise over 85 Decibels and the light is intense/ glare.
26. Work surfaces stable, height is elevated.
27. Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
