ACCOUNT MANAGER - Hybrid Role
Job Overview:
FORE, the Retail Consultancy side of Menzies, is seeking a commercial, assertive, and forward-thinking Buyer to join the team in the fast-paced Newspaper, Magazine, and Collectables industry. The role focuses on managing key relationships with accounts, publishers, and distributors, ensuring the successful execution of business plans and driving revenue growth across Menzies Group Companies. Strong data analytical skills are required.
The Details:
Shift Pattern / Days: Monday - Friday / 09:00am - 17:30pm
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 dependant on experience
Location: Hybrid Role
Key Responsibilities:
Processes:
Measure, analyze, and report on retailer-focused KPIs.
Work with Customer Support to generate and communicate product ranges and reports.
Plan and implement value-added activities across key accounts, sharing learnings.
Ensure timely communication and action of internal/external requests.
Review best practice guidelines and store training materials, updating as needed.
Contribute to new policies and strategies to commercialize ideas.
Identify workflow blockages and propose solutions.
Customer:
Explore opportunities to support sales and attract new customers across Menzies Group.
Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting and exceeding targets.
Build and execute joint business plans with customers.
Maintain professional, efficient customer communication and service.
Organize and attend internal and external meetings, providing minutes and progressing actions.
Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
Flexibly support other business areas as needed.
Finance:
Agree funding targets with retailers and explore income opportunities.
Manage invoicing and ensure timely payments.
Control travel budgets and expenses in line with company policy.
Follow up on overdue invoices for payment recovery.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Essential:
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Business Objects, and SAP.
Knowledge of the Newstrade industry, particularly retail.
Experience in buying or account management, with commercial experience.
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable:
Familiarity with Office 365, Power BI, and Teams.
