This role involves working in Business Doncaster, the Council's economic development unit to lead Business Doncaster’s approach to the Manufacturing sector, driving the attraction of manufacturing businesses to Doncaster, and supporting the expansion of existing manufacturing businesses to deliver new investment and job creation.
The post holder will be responsible for generating major sector specific enquiries through proactive lead generation, professional enquiry handling, and working with key partners across central government and within the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. The post holder should have experience of working with businesses in the Manufacturing sector and be experienced in working and delivering outcomes related to Inward Investment and Economic Development. The post holder should have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The post holder should also be flexible and responsive, working to the needs of the service at all times.
