Requirements:
1. Qualified solicitor/barrister in the UK with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial law, including in-house experience
2. Minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree with strong academic records
3. Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills for negotiating commercial contracts
4. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle high workloads under pressure
5. Willingness to learn continuously and tackle varied roles
6. Experience in manufacturing law, with the ability to identify risks in new areas
7. Capability to balance customer expectations and commercial demands against legal risks
8. Open and transparent approach, comfortable in an international setting
9. Leadership and project management skills to build trust and manage conflicts
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
11. Fluency in English, with other languages being a plus
Responsibilities:
12. Collaborate with the Legal Manager to provide a wide range of legal advice in a complex manufacturing environment
13. Manage a diverse workload, including specialist projects and daily transactional work
14. Advise on commercial contracts, including supply of goods and services, engineering and construction, logistics, outsourcing, collaborations, funding agreements, and intra-group agreements
15. Work with internal and external lawyers on specialised areas such as energy, environmental, financial regulations, data protection, intellectual property, cyber security, and GDPR
16. Support corporate governance, sustainability, and compliance functions
17. Supervise junior team members and contribute to department objectives
18. Develop new templates and procedures, and provide legal training
19. Assist in managing the legal budget and overseeing external legal advisors
20. Enjoy a hybrid work model with travel as needed
