Group Compliance International Support Manager
Job Description
As an international insurance business, we have offices across the globe. We are a relatively new team that supports and oversees the various entities in the Group and have a great mix of experience in the team to be able to help colleagues and businesses when they need us. Great progress has already been made, with strong relationships in place with Compliance and Risk in the Group companies, and we are now looking for someone to take on this role and support the ongoing development of the wider Compliance community.
We are looking for someone who can provide support on Compliance matters to existing and new businesses, helping them with monitoring, reporting, setting, and changing policies, and making sure the best practice we have is shared and developed to be a better business.
You will be reporting to the Group Head of Compliance in the UK but spend a large part of your time supporting Compliance teams across the Group, initially focussed on the European insurers and intermediaries.
The ability to quickly understand regulations in different countries is important, as well as working with a diverse group of people who often do not have English as their first language, although foreign language skills are not essential for the role.
Monitoring experience is highly desired, along with the ability to interact with senior management and people at all levels of the organisation, with the aim of supporting and improving the Compliance environment in each company in the Group.
The role is hybrid with some time spent in the Cardiff office, but the majority of interactions are online. A small amount of foreign travel will be expected in this role.
Main Duties
1. Providing Compliance support to Admiral entities as required
2. Review and feedback on governance papers for Admiral Group companies
3. Supporting the creation and updating of local policies and procedures
4. Writing and delivering training on compliance monitoring, as well as other compliance subjects as required to develop the various teams across the business
5. Completion of thematic monitoring reviews across the Group as required, as well as working with the dedicated Compliance Monitoring team to support their reviews
6. Supporting and developing the Group Compliance team in maturing their approach to compliance matters where appropriate
7. Support the Group Head of Compliance as and when requested
8. Provide input in to reporting requirements as necessary, including the Group Risk Committee Compliance report, and relevant local Management Committee reporting
9. Attendance at management meetings and committees, as required
10. Provide 2nd line challenge in ongoing project activity as required

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
1. Minimum 5 years Compliance experience
2. Insurance industry experience
3. Works well within a team and supports others
4. Highly organised
5. Able to interact with senior management in a variety of businesses
Desirable:
1. Foreign language ability, specifically Spanish, Italian and/or French
2. Experience and/or good knowledge of compliance monitoring
3. Willingness to help regardless of the task
