This is an established charity that provides a range of specialist abuse support services to women, men, and children across the West Midlands area. They are currently recruiting a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to work as part of their team, managing a caseload of clients in the Black Country area.
Your new role
Your role as a Domestic Abuse Support Worker will be to work in the community, supporting victims of domestic violence and abuse in Sandwell through a range of arrangements designed for individuals based on risk assessments. The role supports the empowerment of victims/survivors, assisting them to recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse in their own situation through one-to-one support and group work, helping them regain control of their lives.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently. Experience in social work or a related field is preferred.
