Job Title: Senior Production Engineer Location: Northampton Pay Range/details: £50,000 - £56,000 Contract Type: Permanent Omega is seeking a highly motivated Senior Production Engineer, to join our client located in the Northampton area, who are a leader in the engineering, motorsport and automotive sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, including CNC programming and new part introduction, within a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities - Senior Production Engineer Craft CNC programs for advanced 4 & 5 axis machines and multi-axis turn-mills using Siemens NX & Vericut software. Develop precision CNC grinding programs for a variety of specialized grinding machines. Lead new part introduction (NPI) for both prototype and production projects, expertly managing short lead times. Define and create efficient manufacturing routings and Bill of Materials (BOM) using SAP ERP. Design innovative fixtures and tooling to support NPI projects and streamline production. Drive improvements in tool life and cycle times by implementing cutting-edge technologies. Mentor team members by supporting departmental training and career development programs. Accurately estimate production times and related costs, ensuring efficient project delivery. Continuously identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within manufacturing processes. Champion health, safety, environmental, and energy standards in all activities. Qualifications & Requirements - Senior Production Engineer Demonstrated expertise in machining and programming complex components, with experience in the automotive or aerospace industry preferred. Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX CAD/CAM systems and Vericut simulation software. Deep understanding of machining techniques, cutting strategies, and inspection processes. Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities. Flexibility to contribute to various tasks and support the team as needed.
