We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Housing and Support Officer. The role will be patch, home & office based and will be working for 35 hours per week. To apply candidates, need to have experience of providing a housing management services to tenants across a geographically region.
To be considered for this role candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check and hold a valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
Please find below a summary of the duties:
* Provide advice and information to tenants, residents and others on all tenancy matters, welfare benefits and re-housing requests
* Assisting tenants with support needs to sustain and benefit from their tenancy
* Work with colleagues to achieve void turnaround targets for repair works and to manage the pre-void and lettings process
* Assess the needs of applicants for housing or transfer, liaising with LA nominees and others, making recommendations for action within the Lettings Policy
* Deal with tenancy terminations, new tenancy agreement and associated paperwork, HB / UC application, CORE forms
* Carry out Estate Inspections, monitoring cleaning, grounds maintenance, repairs and maintenance and other estate / block services
* Assisting Arrears Officer with outstanding rent arrears, dealing with charge payments, taking early and preventative action to minimise arrears
