We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Service based in Amersham on a full time permanent basis (37.5 hours per week).
About the Service
Our Service is a 24/7 Registered Service and aims to support the people we support to lead the lifestyles they choose in a safe environment.
We currently support five people - two gentlemen and three ladies. They all get on very well and enjoy each other's company whilst at the same time respecting each others own space. They go out together and individually with staff support for activities such as art and craft, coffee mornings, cinema, meals out and days out.
One of the ladies supported enjoys her own space, watching TV, relaxing in her bedroom, meals out and going shopping. She loves having a good chat with her Support Workers about all the places she has visited and places she has travelled with her family. .
The gentlemen all enjoy getting out and about which can include farm visits, going to the cinema, meals out, events, dancing classes and shopping.
What we're looking for:
A genuine passion for supporting others.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.Contract options:
Full-time: 37.5 hrs
Shifts between the hours of 7am-10pm, including weekends. There is also a sleep-in that you will need to undertake at the service where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.
