Our Quality Team champions World-Class Quality delivery across our Business, undertaking activities to support Right First Time Every Time outcomes, instil the desired quality culture, provide confidence (both internally within the Business and to external stakeholders/clients) we are compliant and continually improve.
We do this by focusing with our ‘customers’ (project teams, clients, subcontractors / suppliers etc.) on three key areas:
• Deployment of working practices and tools to deliver the best performance and maximise value
• Implementing robust regimes to progressively check and assure both the way we work and our delivery outputs are correct
• Instilling appropriate knowledge, skills, and mind sets to positively influence behaviours and culture
Our Quality Team may work in a variety of contexts both in terms of area of responsibility (e.g. Business Unit, Framework, Project etc.) and sector (e.g. Rail, Water, Oil / Gas, Power, Building, Ground Engineering etc.).
What you'll be doing
• Leads quality management support for our Specialist Business Business Unit comprising Construction, Murphy Ground Engineering, Murphy Technical Service and Murphy Applied Engineering (our in house design team)
• Member of the Quality Leads Forum working collaboratively with other members of the Quality Team to set strategic direction and improve Quality management across the Business
• Supporting the improvement of working practices including integration of digital (and data management) capability will be a key focus area (Quality 4.0)
• Subcontracting and direct delivery methods are used
• All stages of the project lifecycle are relevant
• Support is needed in ensuring compliance with sector specific regulations
• 'Self-certification’' and the 'golden thread’' are key aspects
• Act as a focal contact point for clients and other relevant parties on quality matters

• Provide consulting, expertise, direction and support for the planning, management and monitoring of tasks working proactively and collaboratively with all relevant parties (including Murphy employees, other Murphy departments, suppliers, clients and third parties) to deliver the required quality outcomes successfully
• Raise the profile of the Quality Agenda across the Business and wider Industry, including being a champion for World-Class Quality initiatives
• Promote accountability for everyone playing their part to Always Deliver World-Class Quality including respectfully challenging others to 'raise the bar ‘ relevant to quality management
