Overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Handler to join our growing Claims team based in Belfast. As a Senior Claims Handler, you will provide professional advice and service to clients regarding claims issues, liaise with insurers and other parties to expedite the claims process, and manage clients’ expectations. You will also act as a referral point for Claims Handlers, managing claims from start to finish, in accordance with authority levels and Claims Standard Operating Processes. How you'll make an impact Provide technical advice for complex claims, managing client expectations with empathy Manage claims from receipt to conclusion, including documentation, appointing loss adjusters, and liaising with senior colleagues Proactively assess claim status and keep all parties informed Monitor and ensure timely collections/payments through liaison with Finance Update and advise clients and insurers throughout the claims process Support the client service team and lead client meetings to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships Communicate complex information clearly and seek customer feedback for continuous improvement Manage workload to meet Group SLA's Mentor and support the team, delivering training as needed Ensure internal systems are regularly updated and data is accurate Ensure accurate and timely production of claims statistics Maintain and share technical knowledge for efficient claims handling Comply with Gallagher Professional Standards Manual and statutory requirements, focusing on Consumer Duty About You Degree standard or equivalent is desirable Dip Cii/ACII 3+ years’ experience within a similar role across multiple claims disciplines ( motor, EL, PL and property) Proactive approach and desire to progress Eligibility to work in the UK #LI-PH1 Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
