Position: Optometrist
Location: Dumfries & Galloway
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience plus up to £10,000 Golden Hello
Working hours: Full or part-time working patterns considered. No late nights and no Sunday working
Experience Level: Open to both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists who are registered with the GOC

Specsavers Dumfries is a 25-year-old family-owned store. Many of their optometrists are home grown and development of their team is at heart of what they do, so if you are looking to become IP qualified or become a partner yourself, the management team will help you achieve your goals. The store pride themselves on providing a flexible working environment, therefore applicants requiring flexible hours or part time hours are welcome. With 5 test rooms, 2 OCT machines and the current potential to expand into hear care, things are looking bright at Specsavers Dumfries.
Dumfries, the gateway to beautiful coastline, has a low cost of living, an abundance of attractions and things to do on your day off. The commute is smooth and efficient in all directions;itis a twenty minutedrive from the A74(M) and thenthe M6 up to Glasgow (two hours). Trains: hourly to Carlisle (40 minutes) and the west coast mainline; also up Nithsdale to Kilmarnock and Ayr (90 minutes).

Our Optometrists are an integral part of our store management team, so we’re keen to get you up to speed outside the test room too. With ILM courses, Pre-Reg supervision and the Specsavers Partnership scheme (Pathway) all available to explore. Along with your clinical expertise – this will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.
