Job summary
Lawson Road Surgery has an exciting opportunity for an advanced nurse practitioner to join our friendly, patient focused clinical team, on a full time basis for hours per week.
This is a new role for the practice, we are looking for someone enthusiastic and motivated to work alongside our GPs, clinical pharmacist and existing nursing team.
As an advanced nurse practitioner, you will be involved in telephone triage, see patients face to face, offer support to our existing nursing team and have the opportunity to develop in your own area of special interest.
Main duties of the job
1. demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers.
2. practice autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner within the designated speciality area to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.
3. support new ways of working that emphasises a more efficient and patient-focused service, and will ensure the safe treatment, referral and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
4. responsible for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
About us
You will be joining our current team of 5 GP partners, clinical pharmacist partner, 2 salaried GP's, 2 GP registrars, 2 practice nurses, a nursing associate, 3 HCA's, a care co-ordinator, GPA, patient services administration team and a range of ARRS from the PCN.
We are a long established city centre practice close to the heart of Norwich with excellent GP patient survey list size is 8650 and continues to grow with new developments locally.
We are a GP training practice, teach UEA medical students & are research active. Our CQC rating from 2023 is Good.
