At Ground Control, we have an opportunity for an experienced RRV / Plant Operator to join our Arboriculture in Rail & Infrastructure division on a zero hours contract based Nationally.
Duties required of a plant operator are to include but are not limited to:
1. Using your experience to assist in Possible Site visits.
2. Be flexible on working hours and Location.
3. Understand, interpret and work, according to site plans, written instructions, or verbal guidance.
4. Operate a variety of heavy machinery and equipment on the railway with the possibility of highways, Utilities and construction sites.
5. Prioritize working in a clean and tidy manner to protect the environment and prevent pollution.
6. Perform pre-start equipment checks, document findings, and submit reports as required.
7. Carry out routine lubrication of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
8. Safely operate any plant or equipment you are trained and competent to use, this may be owned or hired in and will include the use of specialized attachments.
9. Adhere to relevant legislation, such as Health and Safety at Work, LOLER, COSHH etc.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally you will have a background in rail Plant, with some experience using Vegetation / Forestry Equipment but skillsets will be assessed individually.
10. CPCS/NPORS Cardholder
11. CPCS/NPORS 360 Excavator Wheeled
12. CPCS A59C Lifting with Excavators/NPORS Excavator as Crane
13. CPCS Safe Working Practices Around Construction Plant Equipment
14. PTS with relevant Sentinel Competencies’ such as Excavator Crane, Tailors, Hydraulic Grab
