KBR are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager for a 6 month contract. The role is based in Leatherhead – with working from home and client site visits
Project:
Facilities Management Integrator – various transformation projects across full client base as well as future mobilisations of new clients
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
Working within the Mobilisation Team:
1. Detailed planning and delivering a new contract mobilisation (go-live early May 2022) and post-live transition period
2. Leading team of project managers, developers, testers and trainers to deliver a multi-software integrated platform through contractual go live and transition to steady state
3. Creating, chairing and utilising governance to achieve outcomes
4. Managing risk, issue, assumption and dependencies to ensure success
5. Reporting to client stakeholders
Experience and Skills:
Essential:
6. Able to hit ground running, direct several multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environment
7. Able to drive our detailed plans quickly to meet challenging milestones
8. Able to swiftly build collaborative relationships with different organisations (integrated system users, client users)
9. Able to manage teams and give clear direction on what is required to deliver
10. Understands broad range of technologies and has successfully delivered complex technical projects to tight deadlines
11. Capable of establishing working relationships based on mutual trust and respect, avoiding micro-management unless fundamental to mitigate a defined risk
12. Proficient (intermediate or above) in Smartsheet: capable of deriving a properly resourced plan for single or multiple projects, be able to identify resource constraints/under-utilisation, and use planning tools to achieve an optimum critical path
13. Capable of building a delivery mindset in project teams, including internal resources and supply chain
14. Able to build collaborative and productive working relationships with suppliers, clients and internal technical resources
15. Possess analytical skills to break down complex scopes of work, arrange them in a logical sequence, identify dependencies, constraints and opportunities
16. Capable at organising and running effective governance from ad hoc checkpoints to fixed project governance to board level, with audiences of both internal and external stakeholders (clients and suppliers), ensuring clear objectives are set, proper attendance is derived to meet objectives, clear agenda is agreed and delivered, and governance achieves it
17. Track record of demonstrating sound commercial awareness, able to determine and manage scope, change to scope, and able to strike a meaningful balance between client flexibility and adherence to protecting profit margin
18. Good written, oral, comprehension and presentational skills to enable effective communication with customers and management in any format or forum
19. In depth knowledge of IT systems including a general knowledge of software development and software and hardware architecture.
20. Knowledge of system interfaces and proven experience in delivering these interfaces, especially API interfaces
21. Proven ability to influence others and explain how systems work, especially to non-IT literate audiences
22. Experience in definition of and coordination of Systems Development and Application Support activities, including delivering transition to business-as-usual
Desirable:
23. Experience of delivering a mobilisation of a new contract to a fixed service commencement date
24. Experience of collaborating in a MS Teams environment
25. Knowledge of the Facilities Management industry
26. Experience of delivering projects to or for public sector clients
27. Experience of delivering projects in a Cloud-environment
Qualifications:
Essential:
28. Hold, have held or eligible to apply for security clearance to SC and NPPV2 level (requiring UK national or residency for 5+ years)
29. Project Management qualification such as: APM – PFQ, PMQ; PMI PMP
30. A Full, Clean Driving Licence
Desirable:
31. An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or Engineering is preferred
32. PRINCE2 Practitioner
33. Certification in Agile PM
34. Certified Scrum Master
