Join our fantastic Fuel Strategy team as a pivotal member, reporting directly to the Senior Manager – Fuel Strategy and ESG. This role entails providing robust analytical support for fuel costs, aligning with the broader Tax and Fuel Team objectives.
As a key liaison point, you will facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across various functions including Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams. Your responsibilities include diverse tasks such as supporting the development of fuel strategy, analysing cost drivers, contributing to budgeting and forecasting, evaluating business cases, and directing fuel efficiency projects. Your insights and contributions will be integral to shaping our future fuel initiatives and ensuring alignment with our sustainability goals. Requirements of the Role
What you need to do the role
We are seeking a qualified accountant with a proven track record in handling large, dynamic entities. The ideal person will have exceptional analytical skills, adept at conducting thorough variance analysis and identifying key drivers. Confident in providing detailed insights to support procurement and ground operations teams effectively. Effective communication and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels are paramount, as is the capacity to articulate the commercial value of finance projects and explain financial concepts to non-financial counterparts.
A proactive team player who can also work autonomously, offering innovative solutions with confidence is essential. We value self-starters with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm, coupled with advanced Excel skills (including basic macros) and preferably experience with TM1.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend three days per week in the office.
