About the School:
Our partner school is an SEN institution catering to male pupils aged 9 - 16 with SEMH difficulties. With a vision to ensure every pupil fulfils their potential and is prepared for their transition into adulthood, the school provides a supportive and nurturing environment. Students at this school face a range of challenges, including difficulties with behaviour, attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), attachment disorders, anxiety, communication and interaction issues such as speech and language difficulties and autism, cognition and learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia, as well as sensory and/or physical needs including visual and hearing impairment, dyspraxia, cerebral palsy, and other physical disabilities or medical conditions affecting learning.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs in classroom settings.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized support plans tailored to each student's requirements.
3. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour management and emotional well-being.
4. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging and effective learning experiences.
5. Support students in developing strategies to better manage their behaviour, emotions, and mental health.
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH is desirable.
7. Resilience and mental strength to work with the challenging behaviour encountered in the school is a must
8. A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
11. A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
