Job Title: Principal Operations Manager
MCS Group is hiring a Principal Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day coordination and delegation of duties to ensure the delivery of shift, daily, and weekly production goals. As the operations management lead, you will be responsible for providing regular communication and escalating issues to the relevant manager. Key responsibilities include:
• Acting as the first point of contact for team members and other functions outside of normal office hours
• Communicating with the departmental manager on current and potential future issues
• Coaching and mentoring the team to enable their performance standards in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental
• Allocating work, managing staffing levels, and ensuring attendance, grievance, and disciplinary matters are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Monitoring all process controls and ensuring the necessary adjustments are made to maintain production within specification and minimize waste
Requirements:
• 3 years of recent and relevant experience in shift supervision and team leadership in a production or manufacturing environment
• Evidence of monitored KPIs and introduced initiatives to ensure consistent achievement of production targets
• GCSE pass level in Maths and English
• Experience in using standardized work instructions and applying safe working practices
• Strong leadership and people management skills
