I am working with a brilliant Northallerton based business who are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team on a part-time basis of up to 24 hours per week. They are an established and respected business who work closely within the Hambleton and Richmondshire community.
While our client has outlined they are open to considering a background of sectors, it would be beneficial to have an understanding/experience of public sector finance.
The role will be an all round accounts function to bring the accounts in-house and no longer have to outsource them to external accountants. The role will also include some supervisory/support/training to a Finance Assistant.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. General management of Finance team members and function, including offering support and guidance
2. Management Accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis and drafting financial reports
3. Payroll and pensions management
4. Budgeting, cash-flow and forecasting
5. Being the main contact with the bank, managing the relationship and accounts
6. Overseeing secretarial duties within the office and making sure all records are maintained and other outsourced services are managed and accurately documented
Experience on Sage Accounts software would be preferential and highly beneficial for this role.
This role would need someone suitably qualified by experience, or to hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, AAT equivalent).
