Art Teacher – Glossop
A vibrant secondary school in Glossop is looking for a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join their team from January 2025. This position offers the chance to inspire students through a variety of artistic mediums, from drawing and painting to digital art and sculpture. As an Art Teacher, you’ll plan and deliver lessons that encourage students to explore their creativity, develop their technical skills, and build a strong artistic foundation.
Role Overview:
* Design curriculum-aligned art lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, focusing on skill-building and creativity
* Introduce students to a range of art styles and techniques, from traditional to contemporary
* Foster an inclusive and safe classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to express themselves
* Lead and support school art displays, exhibitions, and extracurricular art projects
Ideal Candidate:
The school is seeking a teacher with a PGCE in Art or a related field who can engage students in meaningful and enjoyable artistic exploration. We welcome both experienced Art teachers and ECTs who bring fresh ideas and a passion for arts education. Experience in organising art clubs or community projects is a plus. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
