Typical shift as a bank Support Worker
1. There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from assisting customers with their practical, daily living tasks to working through support plans, helping them to achieve independence.
2. One shift you might be supporting a customer on an individual basis the next you may be working with a group of customers enjoying a film afternoon together.
3. Plenty of time for cuppas, chats and catchups. There's no rushing from one customer to the next
4. You’ll be helping our vulnerable customers in a variety of services .
5. You might find yourself working in accommodation-based services, or supporting our customers in a community or home-based setting.

7. Enjoyment working with a range of customers.
8. A passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail.
9. The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach
10. Recognise every customer is diffferent and you are able to adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs.
11. Flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift.
12. Experience as a Support Worker. It is important that you have worked in this type of environment before.
13. A positive, can do and caring attitude, with the desire to learn to continue making a difference to our customers lives.
14. Previous experience of working with support plans, recording, and using information concisely and effectively.

Our team
You’ll join our wider services across the Cambridgeshire region, and the great thing is you can pick up shifts in any of these services that need it! Currently we have hours available in our Peterborough Mental Health Service, Eastfield Rd and our Huntingdon Homeless Service based in Hartford Rd Huntingdon managed by Sarah, Angela and Kevin. Our team are all super passionate about what we do! We’re a very supportive bunch.

15. Flexible working hours.
16. Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans / doing mandatory learning / keeping in touch with colleagues.
17. You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
