Are you a passionate and dedicated educator ready to make a difference? We are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and dynamic team at a thriving mainstream secondary school in the Rawtenstall area.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our students' learning journeys, working alongside teachers to provide targeted academic and pastoral support. You will have the opportunity to lead small group sessions, support individual students, and contribute to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment for all.
Key Responsibilities
* Classroom Support: Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver lessons that inspire and engage students.
* Student Development: Provide one-on-one or small group support to help students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
* Lesson Delivery: Confidently lead sessions when needed, adapting materials to meet varied learning needs.
* Resource Preparation: Assist in developing and preparing educational resources and materials.
* Pastoral Care: Play an active role in supporting students’ well-being and promoting positive behaviour.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications: HLTA status or equivalent experience in a teaching support role.
* Experience: Prior experience working in a secondary school setting is preferred.
* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff alike.
* Passion: A genuine commitment to helping young people succeed and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
