The Role We are looking for an experienced and passionate Community Manager to join our team and lead the growth, engagement, and overall experience of our professional community. This individual will be responsible for building, managing, and nurturing relationships within our community, with a particular focus on increasing member engagement, driving content and discussions, and fostering a supportive, inclusive environment. As our Community Manager, you will play a central role in creating a thriving network that provides value to its members while supporting our company’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in community building, is proactive in identifying and acting on community needs, and has a strategic mindset for scaling communities sustainably. This is a full-time role, but we are a very flexible employer so a flexible working pattern will be considered. What you’ll be getting up to: Working with peers, own the development and execution of a robust community strategy that supports both LCS and Group strategic goals. Building strong and regular engagement across our Membership of over 160 companies through an active and engaging community programme. Collaborating with other organisations and communities to support Lean thinking growth across industries and regions linked to the LCS and wider Group strategic goals Supporting the commercial growth of the business in line with strategic ambitions through activities within this role but also through close collaboration with peers within the LCS and across the wider Group. Developing key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to the role and monitor to track progress and identify opportunities for optimisation, whilst also providing regular updates and reports to senior management on performance. Collaborating within the wider Group to ensure alignment and the exploitation of cross-business commercial opportunities. Collaborating with other organisations and communities to support Lean thinking growth across industries and regions. Community Growth and Engagement Content Creation and Curation Event Planning and Execution Community Moderation and Support Feedback Loop and Reporting This role will be a great fit if you have: Experience : 3 years of experience in community management, with a proven track record of growing and managing a professional or industry-specific community. Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and mediate conversations effectively. Project Management : Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience planning and executing events or initiatives. Data-Driven Mindset : Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) and a comfort with measuring and interpreting engagement data. Adaptability : Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and needs. Passion for Community : A genuine passion for building communities and a deep understanding of what makes communities thrive. And an exceptional fit if you have: Formal Lean qualification, LCS or other. The Location: This role is based on a Hybrid basis from our office at Cardiff University.
